Suno improvises structure when you don't specify it. A hit structure isn't luck — it's a tracklist you hand it.
1. Write the ENTIRE structure as brackets first, lyrics second:
[Intro] [Verse 1] [Chorus] [Verse 2] [Chorus] [Bridge] [Final Chorus] [Outro]
Lay the skeleton, then fill it. Structure first, always.
2. Label choruses identically. Every chorus bracket should say [Chorus] — same label, same hook lyrics. If you label them [Chorus], [Big part], [Refrain], Suno treats them as three different sections.
3. Put the hook in the chorus lyric, verbatim, every time. The chorus is defined by repetition — same words, same melody slot. Vary the verse lyrics, never the hook.
4. Time-box sections: [Verse 1: 8 bars] [Chorus: 8 bars] — wandering happens in unmeasured sections.
5. The pop formula still works: intro → verse → chorus → verse → chorus → bridge → final chorus → outro. It's a cliché because it works. Master it before you break it.
