Replace Section re-renders that slice from scratch — and 'from scratch' includes the voice. Without a voice anchor, you get whoever shows up.
1. Paste the original voice description into the Replace prompt. Copy the exact vocal wording from your original Style box (warm breathy female vocalist, alto) into the replace section's style field. Same description = same voice, usually.
2. Add a voice-lock bracket:
[Same vocalist as the rest of the song, identical voice, warm breathy alto]
Redundant? Yes. Effective? Also yes.
3. Keep the replacement short. One line or one section — the shorter the replaced slice, the less noticeable any micro-shift in the voice.
4. Match the surrounding energy. If the original section was a belting chorus and your replacement prompt says 'soft gentle,' the voice will sound different even if it's technically the same singer. Mirror the original section's energy words.
5. If the voice still won't match, regenerate the replace 2-3 times and comp the best-matching take — or fix the lyric with a tiny pitch/volume edit in a DAW instead of re-rendering.
