Mobile is a sketchpad; desktop is the studio. That's the honest split — and once you accept it, the workflow gets smooth.
1. Draft on mobile, finish on desktop. Lyrics, style ideas, quick generations — mobile is perfect. Editor surgery, stems, detailed Replace Sections — do those at a real screen.
2. Know what's desktop-only (this shifts, so check current docs): the full Song Editor, stem downloads, and some advanced settings have historically been desktop-first. If you can't find it on mobile, it's probably not there — not hidden.
3. The mobile power move: voice-memo your melody or lyric idea into your phone, then build the Suno prompt from it later. Mobile's best feature is capturing ideas, not finishing songs.
4. Don't fight the small screen on precise edits — selecting exact lyric lines for Replace Section on a phone is misery. Save the surgery for desktop.
5. Keep one workflow: generate candidates on the go → star your favorites → sit down at desktop and finish the winners. Two-stage process, zero frustration.
