You don't find a niche by thinking — you find it by shipping. But ship with intention:
1. Intersect two things. Genre you love + an angle: an era ('70s soul'), a theme ('songs about the sea'), a language, a mood. 'AI country artist' is crowded; 'AI outlaw-country storyteller writing about truckers' is a lane.
2. Consistency builds recognition. Same sonic palette, same visual style, same posting voice. Fans should recognize your song in three seconds — that's branding, not repetition.
3. Create a signature element. A recurring vocal persona, a theme, an intro sound, a lyrical motif. Signatures turn listeners into fans — they come back for the thing only you do.
4. Real name, real identity. 'xX_AI_Beats_Xx' is forgettable. A proper artist name with real cover art signals you're serious — to listeners and to playlist curators.
5. The 20-song rule. Make 20 songs in your lane before judging the lane. Most people quit at 6, right before the sound clicks.
