AI + human collaboration is where some of the best AI music is happening right now. Three workflows that work:
1. AI draft → human vocal. Generate the full song, export the instrumental stems, and have a singer record over them. You get Suno's production with a human soul on top. (See the 'sounds AI' fix — this is it.)
2. Human topline → AI production. A songwriter writes melody and lyrics, Suno builds the track around them. Great for lyricists who don't produce.
3. User-to-user trades. Two Suno users pass generations back and forth — one does verses, the other choruses, or one prompts and the other curates. The community runs these as challenges.
4. Agree on splits BEFORE release. Even a simple email — 'we split everything 50/50' — saves friendships. Decide: who owns what, who gets songwriter credit, how royalties split. Five minutes now beats five months of arguing later.
5. Share files cleanly. Stems via Google Drive, labeled, with BPM and key in the filenames. Your collaborator shouldn't need a decoder ring.
