Getting on Spotify is a solved process — here's the whole pipeline:
1. Finish the song first. Final mix (stems if you have them), a listen on phone speakers and car speakers, and a final WAV export. Distributors won't fix a bad mix.
2. Pick a distributor. DistroKid (fast, cheap yearly), TuneCore, CD Baby — they all put you on Spotify/Apple/etc. Pick one and learn it; switching later is a headache.
3. Prepare your package: WAV file (not MP3), cover art (3000x3000 px, no blurry or copyrighted images), song title, artist name (spell it the SAME every time), genre, and songwriter credits.
4. Set a release date 3-4 weeks out. This gives Spotify's editorial team time to consider it for playlists, and gives YOU time to promote.
5. Check your tier. You need Suno's commercial terms to release commercially — free-tier generations generally don't qualify. Verify your plan covers commercial use before you upload.
6. After release: claim your Spotify for Artists profile immediately so you control your page.
