Suno filters explicit content — that's a platform rule, not a bug, and there's no toggle to turn it off. But there are legitimate ways to keep your song's edge.
1. Write the radio edit first. The pros write clean versions that still hit hard. Clever euphemisms and implied profanity ('what the—') often land harder than the raw word because the listener fills it in.
2. Don't try to trick the filter. Misspellings, asterisks, and leetspeak (sh*t, f#ck) either get caught anyway or get sung literally — 'eff hashtag ck' is not the vibe.
3. Imply, don't state. The best explicit-feeling songs never say the word: tone, delivery, and context do the work. aggressive, raw, uncensored ATTITUDE in the style box gives you the energy without the vocabulary.
4. If you need the truly explicit version, generate the clean version in Suno, get the vocal stem, and overdub or replace the specific words in a DAW yourself. You keep Suno's performance and add your words.
5. Know the line. Filters exist for a reason — hate speech and threats aren't a creative choice, they're a ban. Keep it spicy, not harmful.
