Failed blends happen because Suno gets two equal instructions and picks neither. Blends need a DOMINANT genre and a GUEST genre — 70/30, never 50/50.
1. Declare the winner: country song with EDM elements — not 'country-EDM.' The first genre named is the foundation; the second is the flavor. Order is hierarchy.
2. Assign elements explicitly:
country storytelling vocal and acoustic guitar, with a festival EDM drop in the chorus, banjo in the verses
Which genre supplies WHAT. Vague blends fail; choreographed blends work.
3. Blend at the section level: verses pure genre A, chorus pure genre B. [Verse: traditional country] [Chorus: full EDM drop] — contrast between sections reads as 'fusion' better than a muddy middle.
4. Find the bridge instrument. Every good blend has one: banjo + 808s, fiddle + synths. Name yours — it's the glue.
5. Exclude the muddy middle: generic pop, neither genre — and if generation 1 is confused, push the ratio further (80/20) before giving up.
